Judge authorizes use of Serp-Jud to track assets; understand the system

The tool was enabled in April 2024 and allows unified searches in public records.

On the 7th, a judge granted, in compliance with the sentence, a lawyer's request to carry out an asset search through the Serp-Jud system. 

 

Relatively recent, the platform began operations in April 2024, having been designed to facilitate and speed up the unified search for information, including assets.

The case refers to the enforcement of a sentence in a process initiated in 2015, which discussed the obligation of payment, by a construction company, for products described in invoices from a mining company.

 

Lawyer Renata Belmonte , from the Albuquerque Melo Advogados law firm , who represents the creditor, requested a search for assets through the Serp-Jud system to enable compliance with the sentence.  Judge Luísa Tostes Escocard de Oliveira, from the 2nd District Court of Aparecida/SP, authorized the search.

What is Serp-Jud?

 

Serp-Jud is part of Serp - Electronic Public Records System, created by Federal Law 14,382/22 . Its regulation was established by provision 139/23 of the CNJ .

 

Through the platform, magistrates can access systems developed by registrars in a single interface, which provides greater efficiency and practicality in the exercise of their functions.

 

Access is provided via the PDPJ - Judiciary Digital Platform, using an ICP-Brasil digital certificate or via the IdRC - Civil Registry Electronic Authentication System.

 

 

The tool has four main modules:

 

Search for birth, marriage and death records: allows you to quickly locate civil information.

National asset search: allows the tracking of properties and assets throughout the national territory.

PJ Research: assists in the investigation and analysis of the structure and activities of legal entities.

Search for guarantees: facilitates the assessment of guarantees associated with assets and rights.

The system's objective is to modernize judicial services, ensuring agility and integration in processes related to public records.
