Special Court begins to judge RJ judges for corruption

The complaint points out that judges had received undue advantages for including companies in the execution plan.

The Special Court of the STJ began judging complaints against four TRT judges from the 1st region for corruption, embezzlement, money laundering and criminal organization. According to the MPF, they would have received undue advantages for including companies in the execution plan.

 

In the session this Wednesday, the 6th, oral arguments took place and minister Nancy, rapporteur, cast her vote for the conviction of three of the four magistrates.

 

After the vote, Minister Fernandes requested a review, suspending the judgment.

 

The case

 

In February 2022, the Special Court received the complaint filed by the MPF against four TRT-1 judges, as it understood that there was evidence of materiality and evidence of authorship of the crimes of corruption, embezzlement, money laundering and criminal organization.

 

According to investigations, the judges had received undue advantages to include companies in the Special Labor Court Execution Plan.
