The horse that was stranded on a roof after heavy rains in Rio Grande do Sul (RS) was finally rescued this Thursday morning.

 

The little animal went viral on the internet after it was caught balancing on top of a house, in the city of Canoas, one of the hardest hit by the tragedy. The commotion on the internet was enormous and everyone couldn't wait for the animal to receive help.

 

And she came. Today, a team from the Fire Department, the Army and with the help of veterinarians, safely rescued the animal, was sedated, placed in a boat and taken to receive care.

Symbol of the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul, it is estimated that the animal remained in this situation for 4 days.

 

The images were captured by a TV Globo helicopter and since then, a real campaign, with celebrities such as influencer Felipe Neto, was created to rescue the animal.

Complex rescue

 

The operation was very complicated and involved 11 people and five boats.

 

The rescue began around 10:40 am this Thursday (9/5) and even required helicopters.

 

When they got close to the animal, the team of veterinarians had to sedate the horse to place it in one of the boats. The entire moment was followed live on television!

 

The animal was very exhausted, exhausted and without water and food for four days, but now, it will be able to start again with lots of love and affection. The mare is already on dry land and is now undergoing examinations.
