Court plenary had granted 164 insertions to the PT campaign in spaces previously intended for Bolsonar electoral propaganda

The Minister of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Maria Claudia Bucchianeri, accepted a request from the defense of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) against a previous decision by the TSE itself and decided to suspend the rights of reply granted to the campaign of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva ( PT). The new decision is valid until the appeal is analyzed by the other ministers. The TSE plenary had granted 164 rights of reply to Lula in spaces previously intended for Bolsonaro’s propaganda. The current president's campaign had 14 rights of reply granted by the court. With that, Lula would guarantee 46 daily insertions, while Bolsonaro would drop from 25 to less than 4 appearances, on average. In addition to suspending PT’s 164 rights of reply, Bucchianeri also gave Bolsonaro 8 rights of reply in Lula’s space. The minister also granted Bolsonaro 2 minutes and 8 seconds of right of reply in the squid block advertisement, which lasts 5 minutes and is broadcast twice a day, from Monday to Saturday. Bolsonaro's lawyers questioned PT's commercials that associated the current president with militias.
