Guides and app launched to advise refugees on rights and services in Brazil

The Secretary of Welfare of the Ministry of Labor and Welfare, Marina Battilani, participated on Thursday (23/06), at the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights, in the launching ceremony of two guides on Human Rights and an application containing rights and services for migrants and refugees in Brazil.

 

The Rights and Services application in Brazil has information on public policies developed in the country, with an initial version in Spanish. The interface is intuitive and gives access to more than 100 topics on topics of migration regularization, documentation, human rights, social assistance, work and income, education, health and protection.

 

The Human Rights Booklet for Ukrainian Migrants and Refugees in Brazil was printed in Portuguese and Ukrainian and addresses rights available in Brazil. The Guidance Guide on Human Rights for People from Afghanistan in Brazil guides on how to recognize violations of rights, how and in which bodies and channels complaints should be taken.

 

The MTP's Welfare Secretary, Marina Battilani, highlighted the importance of the guides and the app, which will help the ministry communicate information for the reception of refugees, since "they have labor and social security rights in the same way as Brazilian citizens" .

 

In addition to the representative of the MTP and the minister of the MMFDH, Cristiane Britto, the minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos França, the secretary of Social Development of the Ministry of Citizenship, Robson Tuma, the national secretary of Global Protection of the MMFDH, Mariana Neris, participated in the ceremony. , the head of the mission of the International Organization for Migration in Brazil, Stéphane Rostiaux, and the president of the Brazilian Institute for Support to Ethnic-Racial Segments, Igor Shimura.
