FNDE publishes public notice for the poetry contest on the 200th anniversary of the Independence of Brazil

Students interested in participating in the poetry competition “Brazil 200 years of independence: Reading our history, writing our future”, launched by the Federal Government, through the National Fund for the Development of Education (FDE), should pay attention to the competition schedule. . Applications are scheduled for the period between August 1 and September 2, 2022. Until then, students will be able to create and organize their poetic productions and schools will be able to launch challenges among their students to choose the poetry that will represent each school unit in the contest.
Students in the final years of elementary school (6th to 9th grade) enrolled in schools in the education networks that adhered to the PNLD throughout the country can apply. Enrollments must be made by school administrators, in the PDDE Interativo system, and each school unit can enroll only one student.
The best poetic text from each Brazilian region, inspired by the theme of the 200 years of the Independence of Brazil, will integrate into the back cover of the textbooks that make up the National Book and Teaching Material Program (PNLD 2024). In addition, the authors of the five best poems will receive R$ 10 thousand and will win a trip to the award event, scheduled for November this year.
