The week was marked by the Government's support and rescue actions for Brazilians in Ukraine. The Federal Government has already supported the departure of more than 100 Brazilians from the country and continues to provide consular assistance to those still in the region. In addition, this week a new document was released, the Caderneta do Raro, aimed at people living with rare diseases and the limits of financial support granted to beneficiary families of the Casa Verde and Yellow Program were updated.
More infrastructure and innovation with the concession of the Dutra and Rio-Santos highways, in addition to the reduction of the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI) were also topics in the week that ends.

FAB plane will rescue Brazilians who left Ukraine
Brazil decided to send a plane to Poland to rescue the Brazilians who left Ukraine. An aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), model KC-390 Millennium, is scheduled to take off from Brasília on the afternoon of next Monday (03/07) bound for Warsaw, capital of Poland, where citizens must board for the Brazil.
The Brazilian Government will use the trip to send 11.5 tons of humanitarian aid material to victims of the conflict in Ukraine. The arrival back to Brazil is scheduled for Thursday morning (03/10).

New concession contract for the Dutra and Rio-Santos highways comes into force
The Federal Government signed a new 30-year concession contract for the Presidente Dutra highway (BR-116/RJ/SP). The signing took place this Friday (03/04), in São José dos Campos (SP), with the presence of President Jair Bolsonaro. The concession agreement with the CCR Group also includes the Rio-Santos highway (BR-101/RJ/SP).
The concessionaire will invest R$ 14.8 billion in the two highways during the 30-year concession period. In this period, approximately R$ 10.8 billion will also be allocated to operational services. Among the innovations for drivers on the Presidente Dutra highway is complete monitoring through automatic cameras for incident identification, wi-fi and LED lighting.

Health care for people with rare diseases
On Thursday (03/03) the Federal Government launched the Caderneta do Raro, a document that will contain consultations, diagnosis and registration of medical services of a lifetime for people living with rare diseases. The launch took place during the Ceremony in reference to the World Day for Rare Diseases, celebrated on the last day of February.
At the ceremony, the Care Line for Rare Conditions in the SUS was also launched, an instrument to support Health Care Networks with the objective of guiding managers and professionals so that they can organize the care of the needs of people with rare conditions.

New limits for the Casa Verde e Amarela Program
The Federal Government increased the limits of the financial incentive granted to beneficiary families of the Casa Verde e Amarela Program. Anyone who wants to build, renovate or buy a new or used property, in urban areas, can count on up to R$130,000 funded by the program. The previous limit was R$ 110 thousand. In rural areas, the value goes from R$ 45 thousand to R$ 55 thousand.

Federal government reduces IPI tax rate
In order to stimulate the economy, the Federal Government decided to reduce the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI) by 25% for most products. The measure is in a decree signed by President Jair Bolsonaro. Among the various products covered by the initiative are white goods such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washing machines and automobiles. For some types of automobiles, for example, the rates will be reduced by 18.5%.

Foreign trade hits new records in February
Sales of Brazilian products abroad surpassed purchases in February by around US$ 4.05 billion, an increase of 108.9% compared to the same month last year, by the daily average. It was the best balance since February 2017, when it reached US$ 4.2 billion, and the second largest in the historical series, which began in 1989. The sum of exports and imports was also historic for the month, reaching US$ 41.78 billion. , up 28%.
Imports also hit a record in the month, with US$ 18.9 billion, growth of 22.9%.
